1 1/2 cup(s) uncooked oats
3/4 cup(s) flour, or whole-grain wheat flour
1/4- 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2-1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup(s) regular butter, softened or 1/2 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup(s) packed brown sugar
1/4 cup(s) sugar
1 large egg(s)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup(s) raisins, chopped
1/2- 1 cup(s) Chocolate chips
1/2- 1 cup(s) Dried Fruit- Cherries
In medium bowl, combine oats, flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
Fold in raisins, chocolate chips and dried fruit.
Yields: 18 medium sized (Regular Chips-Ahoy size) cookies
Tips: For healthier recipes use 1/2 regular sugar 1/2 sugar substitute. I used 1/2 granulated sugar, 1/2 Splenda sugar blend and I used Splenda’s Light Brown sugar blend because it has a pretty good taste. Also, use olive oil based butters and cooking sprays for batter and greasing pan. Apple sauce can be used for recipe instead of butter- use equal amount of apple sauce needed of butter. Different flours matter, too. For those real health nuts you can use whole wheat flour.
