Ready to kick off summer at the beach? Hangout Music Festival

If you are ready to kickoff summer, enjoy the warm weather, enjoy the music of the warm months and find yourself among other happy people than Hangout Music Festival is the place for you. Hangout Music Festival is held annually in Gulf Shores, Alabama at the Hangout Restaurant and extending onto the beach towards the bright blue waters.

The 2012 festival took place this past weekend May 18, 19 and 20.  The festival was a blast with headliners: Dave Mathews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers and String Cheese Incident.  There were other performances including Gogol Bordello, Dispatch, Zoogma, Alabama Shakes, Paul Oakenfold, Umphrey’s McGee and much more entertainment!

See Lizard’s personal favorite shows were Skirllex- who appeared and disappeared in and out of his set with extreme fog blasts into the crowd; and STS9 who’s show is an intense and psychedelic space travel that potentially leads the mind through thoughts of human and world development and promotes a greater conscious alliance.  Speaking of which Conscious Alliance was at the event selling posters in exchange for cash or food donations.  We are always happy to see organizations doing things for the better good of humanity.  The festival also surprised an entire bus full of people arriving with VIP passes, handed out sorbets to keep cool and much more to keep the festival go-ers more than happy to be at Hangout.

Definitely make sure to look into next year’s lineup and tickets if spending a fun, sunny weekend with over 10,000 other music lovers sounds like a party to you. 🙂
