Oxfam Benefit Concert Lemonade with Selebrities

As a part of their summer concert series- Thrillcall Presents has teamed up with Oxfam America for a benefit concert featuring the bands Lemonade and Selebrities.  The show is this Saturday July 27 starting at 10:30 pm, 21 and up only please.  The show is free! Donations will be accepted at the door.  All the proceeds of the show will benenfit Oxfam America. 

Oxfam America is an organization that provides disaster relief and rights the wrongs of poverty, hunger, and injustice. Oxfam’s goals are to provide marginalized peoples with skills, direction and hope to support their families and communities.  Oxfam also focuses on addressing issues such as social injustice through advocacy, public education, and emergency assistance programs. For exampple, Oxfam continues supplying relief to incidences includes destruction and emergencies in Haiti, the armed conflicts in Sudan and the Syrian conflict and uprooted refugee crisis. Oxfam also focuses on promoting diplomacy and mediation in times of conflict. Oxfam has spent the past decades providing famine relief, homes and life without war to local families and Oxfam1villages around the globe.  The organization has also helped millions of people survive the devastation of wars, famines, and natural disasters and has provided to people the knowledge and power for solutions in time of need.

Lemonade is a band that is originally from San Francisco but now resides in Brooklyn. Listening to the band, you can hear the Caribbean influences that create a distinctly “world music” feel in this alternative dance music.
The sound of the youthful, Brooklyn-based band Selebrities is a new wave of synth-dance and italian disco-pop.  Maria Usbeck, is the lead of the band.  The Selebrities band name  has steadily grown more attention, especially for their most recent cover of Fleetwood Mac’s hit, “Everywhere.”
